Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is extracted from a plant called tea tree. With a strong aroma of herbs and camphor, it is often dismissed by those unfamiliar with its properties. However, it is one of the most versatile oils used in aromatherapy. Among its main characteristics, it is an excellent antifungal, bactericidal, and antiseptic agent; it works as a revitalizing and purifying agent, as well as a refreshing and protective agent. As an antiseptic, fungicide, and bactericide, it can be used on hair to relieve dandruff or dermatitis. To do this, add it to your shampoo and wash as usual, or apply it directly to the scalp. For a bath: Relieve tiredness by adding a few drops to the water. You can also use a dilution in vegetable oil for massages.
